What Hermes Citadel does. Hermes Citadel is a user-facing productivity agent that helps you manage your own Google account data with explicit OAuth consent. After you connect Google, Hermes Citadel can — at your direction — search and read email, summarize threads, apply labels, draft or send messages you approve, check calendar events, and work with other Workspace data you authorize (such as Drive, Contacts, or Sheets).

Hermes Citadel is built for personal productivity and operator-controlled automation. It is not a bulk-mail spammer, data broker, or ad platform.

Gmail assistant: find messages, read content, summarize inbox activity, organize with labels, and prepare replies.
Action with control: outbound send and sensitive changes are intended to run under your configuration and confirmation practices.

Local operator deployment: designed to run as your agent with OAuth tokens stored under your Hermes Citadel configuration, not sold to third parties.

Depending on setup, Hermes Citadel may request Google OAuth scopes such as:

How Google sign-in works

You start Google OAuth from Hermes Citadel setup.
Google shows a consent screen listing the exact scopes requested for Hermes Citadel.
If you approve, Hermes Citadel receives tokens to call Google APIs on your behalf.
You can revoke access at any time: myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Privacy, security, and Limited Use

Google user data is used only to provide or improve prominent Hermes Citadel features you use.
No selling of Google user data; no use for advertising or credit decisions.
Human reading of message contents is limited as described in the Privacy Policy and Google policy exceptions.
Transport is protected with HTTPS on radness.co; tokens are stored with restricted file permissions on the operator host.
